I've recently finished the pencils for the WIP Iron Man I have posted here and I'm working on the color for that. I have a Spider-man/Anti-Venom pin up in the works, some carachter sketches, covers/pin ups, and issue #1 of my comic, and a few other pin ups for birthdays & holidays. I've been invited to contribute some pieces to SKETCH Magazine as well!
I've also been looking at some of my older work & some of my first pages that are "completed"... and I've been comparing what my work looks like now to some of the things I like about my older stuff. I feel like I've left out something that made my art better... in the quest to become faster I've lost some of the personality/caracter & quality that I was putting into it. One of the most important awesome things I've learned from Peter Steigerwald, "Don't focus on speed. Focus on quality and speed will come with confidence." That is so true.
One of my first "completed" splash pages for Spider-man, the first real background I've ever drawn, was shot down immediately. I showed it to my parents about three years ago. They bearly looked at it and stuck their nose up in the air. That was discouraging. :/ I haven't done an extensive or good background since... So I'm excited about sharing these new pieces with all you guys here.
... and critiques are always welcome!
